We are currently investigating a number of options for the Android platform, but a native solution is not available at this time. We have a number of Android fans internally that are also excited to see a solution. In the meantime, you can always leverage our Call Connect for SMS solution to initiate calls from your mobile device:
Was the caller's ID blocked? In some cases, callers who deliberately block their ID are sent to the Personal Assistant. We are revisiting this policy to make it more configurable for our users.
We addressed issues with Call Connect and Call Connect for SMS with the Voxox 2.5 release. If you are still experiencing issues with Call Connect, try upgrading via Voxox.com, or via the Auto Updater in the desktop client. Your mileage with Wine may vary depending on build. We do not officially endorse running on Linux / Wine yet, but we have heard of some users getting it to work. it's definitely something we would consider if the audience becomes large enough.
It is a valuable suggestion that we are considering, but the main reason we needed to disable this option was to control fraud. By protecting our servers from the potential Fraud exposure, we are able to provide our other services at extremely competitive rates. We will continue to review this requirement. In the short term, you may want to look at our Telcentris Home service.
Sharing SIP settings with our customers is an interesting idea. It hasn't been something we have endorsed in the past, but we will take a look at what is involved.
Since this is something you all are interested in, could share some details about your setup, and how you would incorporate this into your workflow? For example, what devices, software clients, etc. are you using?
